Austin Lauritsen is the Vice President of Technology & Engineering at VEVA Sound, where he leads the technical direction of the company at the intersection of music and software. With more than 20 years of experience, Austin brings together deep knowledge of audio workflows, metadata, and modern engineering practices to build systems that support both creative and business needs.

Austin started at VEVA Sound in 2005 as an archival engineer, working hands-on with large and complex audio collections. Over time, his role expanded to include ownership of the company’s IT infrastructure and the development of customer-facing web applications, including VEVA Collect. That path has given him a unique perspective that blends real-world audio experience with practical software engineering.

In his current role, Austin oversees engineering, product architecture, cloud infrastructure, and QA, working closely with product and business teams to ensure VEVA Sound’s technology is reliable, scalable, and easy to use. He’s especially focused on turning complex technical problems into straightforward solutions that help teams move faster and work smarter.
