Deborah DeLoach

President, Nashville

Deborah started her career as an archival engineer at VEVA Sound in 2004. In the past 20 years she has risen to lead the company in all facets of the business. She has grown VEVA into a global entity servicing major labels in North America and Europe - establishing offices in New York, Los Angeles, London and residing in VEVA’s headquarters in Nashville. Growing into the President role, Deborah has kept VEVA at the forefront of technology and continues to evolve and adapt VEVA’s services and technology to assist the needs of their extensive client base. Deborah advises many label executives, producers, engineers and artists seeking archival and asset management solutions. She plays an active role in the development and execution of VEVA Sound's ever growing internal technology, systems and new product development - which includes VEVA Collect. Audio, file sharing, credits and metadata built specifically for the music industry’s producers, engineers and songwriters.

Deborah is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a B.S. in Recording Industry Production Technology.

• The Recording Academy Grammy P&E Wing - member

• Co-Chair of the DDEX Conformance Working Group - Focusing on providing continuity and accurate conformance of all DDEX messages and implementations. Working to define and document a conformance regime for all DDEX standards. Working with other technical Working Groups to adapt this to the various standards. Co-ordinating and overseeing the development and maintenance of tools to support the conformance regime. Focus: RIN message, ERN message, DSR message, MLC Message, LIC message

• Member of the DDEX Studio Metadata Working Group - Setting global end-to-end standards for commercial recordings. The metadata will be interoperable with all the other DDEX standards used to communicate data along the supply chain. Data capture at the beginning of the supply chain is vital for data quality and integrity. Focus: RIN Message

• Member of the DDEX Electronic Release Notification Working Group - The ERN provides a suite of messages that give a uniform mechanism to enable Release Creators (usually record companies) to inform DSPs about Releases — whether they are newly created or “back catalogue” — that are available for distribution to consumers. Focus: ERN Message
